European licences are well recognised, but Bali's police and your travel insurer will both want proof that you're licensed to ride a motorcycle, not just drive a car. Here's what European travellers should sort out before they fly.

Where to get an IDP depends on your country: in many it's the municipal or regional licensing office, in others the national automobile club. Apply a few weeks before departure.
